Provider: Wayne
Baker
Profession: Logger and
Teacher
Hometown: Libby, MT
Wayne grew up in a logging family and as a boy would
assist his father in many aspects of the family business. He was able
to obtain a football scholarship and was allowed to go home for the summer
to log, because the physical demands logging requires met the requirements
for football summer training. After graduating with his education degree,
he retired from summer logging and played in the NFL. As this chapter
in his life came to a close, he utilized his education degree and became
a teacher and a coach and resumed his summer logging when the school
year came to a close. By his side, his faithful wife Terri saw him through
College, the NFL, teaching, coaching, and the one constant of their lives,
logging. Wayne and Terri enjoy riding their four wheelers, supporting
their community sporting events, and spending time with their grandchildren.
They have a great love for Rural America and work hard to instill the
importance of preserving their culture through Provider Pals.
