Raven's Activities
Historic Raven has served the public well during the last several years. For instance, 2004 site utilization includes:
- Classroom visits by area grade schools, middle schools, and high schools.
- Over 800 students visit the site per year. Learning experiences include hands on lessons about the
farming, ranching, mining, logging and fisheries cultures in Montana and throughout the nation.
- Community Service activities site for high school volunteers.
- The volunteers spend time helping in building restoration, trail maintenance and fuel hazard reduction.
- Community Service activity site for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
- Badges are earned for such things as native flora and fauna identification, weed control, and wildlife studies.
- Elderhostel International visit.
- In conjunction with Flathead Valley Community College, Elderhostel participants spent a day at the site learning about the northwest Montana customs and cultures.
- Flathead Valley Community College classes.
- Classes included a Kids College for 6 to 10 year olds, a five day Teen Camp Outdoor Learning Experience for 13 to 17 year olds and Continuing Education for area

- Touring a Local Mill
- Hiking in the beautiful mountains of Montana
- Touring a Logging Site
- Going to a Ranch
- Horseback Riding
- Participating in logging games and contests
- Spotting Loons at a nearby lake
- Touring a Mine
- Goldpanning
- Touring a Dam
- Recreational activities at the Lake
